Study Title: Stellate Ganglion Blockade for the Management of Vasomotor Symptoms

This is a clinical research trial looking at a Stellate Ganglion Blockade (SGB) for the treatment of hot flashes. Participants are invited to join a research study involving hot flashes for post-menopausal women aged 40-70 years who have moderate to severe hot flashes.

If you decide to participate, you will be asked to:

  • Come for 5 visits over 7 months at Northwestern Medicine in downtown Chicago 
  • Complete quality of life questionnaires
  • Maintain a daily Hot Flash diary for 7 months
  • Receive a non-hormonal intervention utilizing a numbing medication

Participants will be paid for their participation.
